Conference Product Development Manager
Do you have a passion for creating products? Do you excel at identifying hot topics, and writing highly commercial, high quality agendas tailored to the needs of the market?
This new role would be a senior position within the launch division of the business, directly supporting one of our Production Directors, entailing specific responsibility for product and content development including topic generation.
You will work on a number of sectors from Automotive to Financial Services - but there are no boundaries here - we are looking for someone with the ability to identify opportunities and that could be in any market and any region.
If you are a creative Senior Producer with a passion, and instinctive commerciality, to spot hot topics and angles, or a Team Leader looking to re-focus their energies on programmes and content development then we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Topic generation and validation via direct phone research with the market
- Generating topic briefs
- Creation of event concepts, strap lines, and vision for event USPs
- Setting the vision for event programmes through analysis of the research
- Identifying hot angles and directing the translation of the 'need to know' messages into session titles
- Ensuring the commerciality of topics through business development calls and sponsorship research
- Editing of conference agendas to ensure delivery of LBC brand values, quality standards and commercial angles with clear messaging
- Creation and proofing of hard hitting commercial copy
- Smart, commercially focused lead generation
- Networking onsite, topic identification and assessment of new commercial opportunities
- Providing management support for team of producers when Production Director is absent
The Successful Candidate Must Have:
- Possess 18 months+ production experience - ideally in the conference industry but will also consider similar experience such as TV production
- Be an entrepreneurial spirit with ability to see possibilities and opportunities
- Minimum level of 2:1 degree or above
- Excel at programme writing and pinpointing hot topics and angles that make industries tick
- Be a conceptual thinker rather than overly analytical, with visionary ability to see the big picture
- Successful track record of events including new launch
- Proven commercial acumen
- A distinct propensity for quality
- Passionate and bold, highly driven and ambitious
- Ability to provide strategic direction to sponsorship campaigns
Advantageous:
- Coaching, mentoring or people management experience
- Sales experience
