Production Team Manager
LBCG is one of the leading providers of oil and gas events throughout North America and has a leading market presence in a number of other key sectors globally, including automotive, rail, and new technology innovations.
We are looking for an experienced people manager to join our Production Management Team where you will be responsible for the productivity and schedule deadlines of 5 producers and the commercial delivery of around 24 conferences per year. The role of Production Team Manager at LBCG is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing team at a time of rapid business growth and expansion.
Based in Moorgate, key responsibilities will include day to day management of a production team/division; building team morale, driving the standards for the conference production process, including research and speaker acquisition; overseeing operational and onsite production issues; managing recruitment and training for your team and ensuring the Senior Management's vision for producing top quality conferences are delivered upon. A particular focus for the Production Team Leader will be building team morale and helping the producers deliver completed programmes and speakers to deadline.
You will regularly attend events overseas and in the UK and also be expected to identify and implement new business opportunities for your team where appropriate. You will also drive the marketing and sponsorship campaigns. With a mature outlook and ability to positively influence behaviours and results, you will ideally have at least 2 years experience in managing a production team in the commercial conference industry, or have an exceptional track record in production and be looking for your next career move.
You will report to the Head Of Production who will take leadership on all content, topic generation and agenda development to allow you to focus on people and management and production cycle completion.
ROLE BREAKDOWN
Overall Deadline & KPI Management
- Ensuring all projects are delivered within schedule with 20-25 senior speakers
- Ensuring producers always meet daily KPIs
- Ensuring all document submissions are handed in on time as per the schedule
Quality Assurance
- Research: Making sure research calls are long enough and that the producers attain the right information by keeping to the research process
- Speaker Acquisition: ensuring speakers and chairs are up to standard
- Ensuring marketing documents are the right standard
SPEX Campaign Management
- Working closely with Sales Managers to ensure the sponsorship strategy is properly executed and delivered
Coaching, Training & Holding To Account
- Coaching producers on how to increase productivity
- Re-training producers when necessary to develop their skills
- Holding producers to account when results are not being delivered
Providing Strategic Support To Help Individual Producers Meet KPIs
- Lead sourcing to help with problem areas
- Offering active support in other specific areas
Proofing Standards And Editorial Delivery
- Monitoring online agendas to ensure all is of high enough standard for customer viewing
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Requirements
- 2+ years people management experience in commercial conference production
NOTE: Highly accomplished senior conference producers looking to move in to management will also be considered
- 2:1 degree or above
