Mississippi Lime Production Rockets To Rival Eagle Ford & Bakken

Production coming out of the Mississippi Lime play has obviously rocketed in recent years, increasing by 112,000 bpd since January 2010; according to some recent reports, the Mississippi...

The Mississippi Lime Is Hotter Than Ever

The Mississippi Lime is hotter than ever because currently there are more questions than answers. The biggest question being whether produced water management costs and production rates can be optimized to ensure long term economic recovery of the prolific reserves in the play.

Low acreage costs, huge oil reserves and shallow reservoirs conducive to low cost production make the play an attractive investment. But does high water prevalence and inconsistent oil cuts outweigh the prolific recovery expected from the play?

As has recently become clear, the major factor standing in the way of sustainable economic recovery is the costs incurred by the unusually high produced water volumes coming out of the formation when fracced. Therefore to fully exploit the play's commercial potential, the development of cost-effective produced water transport, disposal, treatment and re-use is absolutely critical.
Additionally, while horizontal completions have revolutionized the Oil & Gas industry, production methodology now needs optimized to enable a high oil cut and economic Mississippi Lime wells. Considering all the geological characteristics of the play, effective artificial lift, choking techniques and production optimization techniques must be identified to yield an optimal oil cut and subsequent increased return on investment.

RECOVERY OPTIMIZATION FOR PRODUCTION PROFESSIONALS

Following meticulous research with the major E&P companies operating across the play, we've developed the first Mississippi Lime Production & Produced Water Congress - Oklahoma's first Congress designed specifically for production professionals who are looking to optimize economics in the Mid-West's prolific carbonate resource play.

Day One
will focus on Water Management showcasing how an operator is developing cost effective systems for handling produced water from production to transport to disposal. Breaking down production data, speakers will then assess the factors driving produced water volumes to predict the amount that will need handled. Cost-effective disposal options with then be identified by assessing the pros and cons of SWDs followed by solutions for treating and re-using produced water. Speakers will deliver the latest water transport and storage options being used finishing by examining water shut-off techniques for reducing produced water volumes and discussing options for operator collaboration on water infrastructure.

Day Two
focuses on Production Techniques and starts with a case study showing how an operator has applied production techniques to increase oil recovery in the Mississippi Lime. A strong emphasis on artificial lift takes shape in comparative presentations pertaining to ESP, gas and rod pumps. Solutions for meeting the demand for three-phase electricity will then be addressed to ensure power is always available for running pumps. Production optimization solutions are then investigated by comparing techniques for choking back and pressure draw down. Finally, optimal recovery lift methods will be further investigated by addressing the geological characteristics of the Mississippian and determining how they can drive decisions on production technology.

The congress is the second in the job function specific series following on from the original sell-out Mississippi Lime Congress that took place in November 2012, but this year, it is focused purely on delivering solutions to production professionals. We have secured expert production executives and experts from the Lime's most successful and resilient producers to come and deliver their very latest case studies showing how to produce economically in the Mississippi Lime and how they have capitalized on North America's hottest new unconventional play.

Expert Speakers Include:
