Carolin Reichert, Head Of The Electro-Mobility Unit At RWE Germany Brigs European Perspective To US EV Infrastructure Discussion
As the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure 2011 (Feb 28-Mar 1, San Francisco) gains momentum, Carolin Reichert, Head of the Electro-Mobility unit at RWE Germany, comes on board to discuss Cost-Effective Infrastructure Upgrades on Day 1.
RWE is one of Europe’s leading electric and gas companies and invests huge amounts every year in environmentally friendly schemes and energy efficiency initiatives. Ms Reichert will be providing a unique insight into the European EV market, the challenges faced, and solutions formulated, to highlight the transferable lessons for utilities in terms of infrastructure between the two continents.
Also joining Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure is Anthony Eggert, Commissioner from the Californian Energy Commission. Mr Eggert has extensive experience in both a regulatory and engineering environment, and as the individual responsible for the allocation of California’s $100m per year state funding for the development of EV charging infrastructure, he will be revealing how regulatory bodies are working to support the uptake of EVs in the long term.
BMW shall also be present at the event to provide a perspective on market penetration and consumer behaviour from vehicle manufacturers’ standpoint. Pete Dempster, working within the Advanced Technologies department of BMW, will be discussing results from consumer market studies, including final results of the one year Mini-E trial.
